Umno slams opposition’s Selangor drama

SUNGAI BESAR, May 19: The political crisis in the Selangor government is a disservice to the people of Selangor, said Selangor Umno Liaison Committee chairman Tan Sri Noh Omar.

Noh, who also Minister of Housing, Local Government and Urban Wellbeing said it was time for the people of Selangor to reject the PKR-DAP-PAS state government.

“The people are just like the audience of a play staged by the Selangor state government. How are they going to look after the people’s welfare if they continue to play politics?,” he told reporters yesterday after attending a function to thank volunteers of the flood in Sabak Bernam.

PAS has refused to remove its three members of the Selangor State Executive Council (Exco) even after the party decided to sever political collaboration with PKR on May 11.

PAS headquarters today decided that the three Selangor Exco members shall remain in the state government based on the Selangor Constitution 1959.
