PETALING JAYA: Datuk Seri Hishammuddin Tun Hussein slammed Bar Council for being “prejudiced” in the way it has conducted itself regarding the Bersih 3.0 rally.
The Home Minister said he believed the council had lost lots of credibility with the way they conducted themselves in its interim report and having a “very rushed” extraordinary general meeting held on Friday.
“It is very unlikely that the Bar Council will know exactly what will happen on the 28th (April) and to pass judgment now.
“Worse still… to have the Home Minister apologise, it is not only unbecoming but also loses a lot of credibility and integrity of the council itself,” he said on Saturday.
He was responding to reports of the Malaysian Bar passing a 12-point resolution in its EGM including calling for the Home Minister and the Inspector-General of Police to issue a public apology.
