Airod president heads list of Perlis honours recipients 

KANGAR, May 17 :  Airod Sdn Bhd president Tan Sri Ahmad Johan headed a list of 207 recipients of awards and medals in conjunction with the 70th birthday of the Raja of Perlis, Tuanku Syed Sirajuddin Putra Jamalullail, today. 

Ahmad will be conferred the Seri Paduka Mahkota Perlis (SPMP) award, which carries the title, ‘Datuk Seri’. Also receiving the SPMP is Health Director-General Datuk Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah.

The list of recipients was announced by Perlis Menteri Besar Azlan Man.

CIMB Investment Bank Bhd’s Corporate Client Solutions director, Syed Mashafuddin Syed Badarudin Jamalullail is the sole recipient of the Dato’ Setia Tuanku Syed Sirajuddin Jamalullail (DSSJ) award, which carries the title ‘Datuk Paduka’.

Bernama reported, ten people received the Dato’ Paduka Mahkota Perlis (DPMP) award which carries the title ‘Datuk’. They are Kangar High Court Judge Mohd Zaki Abdul Wahab, Perlis police chief SAC Zull Aznam Haron, 5th Brigade Commander Brig Gen Datuk Ranjit Singh Ramday, Universiti Sains Malaysia (USM) Vice-Chancellor Prof Datuk Omar Osman and Universiti Malaysia Perlis (UniMAP) Vice-Chancellor Prof Datuk Dr Kamarudin Hussin. 

The other recipients of the DPMP were Public Works Department (PWD)  Headquarters electrical engineering senior director, Mohd Fazli Osman; Land and Mines deputy director-general Abdull Rashid Saad; Datin Seri Asiah Asmuni, the wife of former Perlis Menteri Besar Datuk Seri Dr Md Isa Sabu; MIDF group managing director Datuk Mohd Najib Abdullah and Earnst & Young Malaysia Country Managing Partner, Abdul Rauf Rashid. 

USM Vice-Chancellor (Academic and International Affairs) Prof Dr Ahmad Shukri Mustapa Kamal is the sole recipient of the Dato’ Paduka Tuanku Syed Sirauddin Jamalullail (DPSJ) award, which also carries the title ‘Datuk’.

Two recipients of the Dato’ Panglima Sirajuddin Jamalullail (DPSJ) award which also carries the title ‘Datuk’ were UniMAP Deputy Vice-Chancellor Prof Dr Zul Azhar Zahid Jamal and Pekan Ilmu Publications adviser, Dr Rahman Shaari.

Perlis Mufti, Dr Juanda Jaya is the sole recipient of the Dato’ Bergelar award which carries the title ‘Datuk Murshid Diraja’.

Meanwhile, Army field headquarters logistics colonel Col Mohd Norbi Ismail is the sole recipient of the Setia Mahkota Perlis (SMP) award.

Thirteen people received the Seri Sirajuddin Perlis (SSP) award including Perlis Forestry director Ridzuan Salleh, Kangar police chief Supt Abdul Rahman Mohd Noordin and advocate and solicitor Jamil Mohamed Shafie.

Eighteen people were conferred the Ahli Mahkota Perlis (AMP) award, 23 the Pingat Mahkota Perlis (PMP) medal, three the Pingat Pekerti Terpilih (PPT)  medal, 54 the Pingat Jasa Kebaktian (PJK) medal, 62 the Pingat Jasa Baik (PJB)  medal and 16 the Pingat Perkhidmatan Lama (PPL) medal.
