Aigner F/W 2012 launch
For all the shopaholics, here’s the stunning and elegant Aiger 2012 F/W Collection! The inspiration for the Autumn/Winter 2012 collection is the fervid artistic atmosphere of the 30’s. Art Decò that in the early years of the last century influenced fashion, art and architecture, is perfectly embodied in the works of the Polish artist Tamara de Lempicka her paintings emanate a strong and expressive femininity making them the undisputed font for the new Aigner collection.
The new Aigner store was launched yesterday at Suria KLCC, Level one. Trust me ladies, when I say it’s worth it, I mean- “It’s worth it”! The new collection is absolutely stunning with extra-ordinary designs and appeal. The models are well defined, edges are emphasised and are at the same time accompanied by softer forms and shapes. Not to forget, the collection places particular emphasis on lovingly designed metal elements. It is these elements that make many models so fascinating.
The absolute “gem” this season is the Arte Factum frame bag. With extra-long, handmade frame, the model is made of polished stingray leather and the surface has a noble shine to it. The bag is revolutionary with its box-like shape and angular inserts in smooth leather. Believe me when I say, it’s to die for!
The ‘Girello’ is impressive due to its firm, angular form and its elegant twist-look. The metal elemant at the top and the mix of embossed and smooth leather make for a certain definitive appeal. So, if you are looking for oomph, style and sobriety, then this is it!
The bags, which have always represented the heart of the Aigner collection, have been inspired by the designs created by Paul Poiret, the forefather of modern day designers: his works show a continued playing with shapes in order to create new and interesting angles on the body. What is life without colours? The new Aigner F/W 2012 collection plays with colours, volume collection. A spectrum of colours has been used to give a cool feel to it, ranging from crystal blue, bramble, a frosty tone of berry to the verdant green of forest and the earthy tones of cognac and mahogany.
Not only this, Aigner offers wide necklines with embroidery in crystal, knee-length skirts and dresses for daywear, high waist trousers and skirts, slim fit dresses in fluid jersey, large coats, short or extra long trench coats, and riding trousers. There is a vast range of splendid accessories, all in line with the 30’s mood, to complete the collection there are bracelets, brooches, shoes and belts.
